Dude, you have far too many lappys! Give me one of your M17s and you can have my M11x R2!

Actually I don't think I could ever part with it. So, just give me the M17 and I'll be your BFF!

eheheheh yeh, I'm thinking about selling one of them. Hmmmmmm.
    I was even thinking about swapping one for a M11x R3 fully loaded or a M14x R1.

    Cheers. :)

Guess I should thank you Varnado. You just cost me £450 dangnabbit! You owe me big style!

    Wanted: Ideas for R1 usage.

The R2 is my main machine, the Vostro 1700 is my seed box and bedroom media player, The Zino HD is the Living room media player. What the hell do I do with the R1???

Also if anyone is interested I have a 4TB Zyxel NSA-2400 4 bay NAS box with 4 1TB sammy HDDs going spare. Will be on ebay Buy Now for £300 in a week or so. But if anyone here is interested I'll let it go for £250 + shipping. Drop me a mail at [email protected] if your're serious...

Update: Ordered new R1 yesterday with 10% off voucher.
Well I stopped by quidco first who were also offering 10% cashback on alienware. Wasn't sure it had worked (not used my quidco account before) But just received my confirmation from them for another £35.79!

    So I get an M11x R1, SU7300, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd for £415! Not too shabby i think!

That does seem like a pretty great deal, I'm jealous you guys still have the R1s being sold in the UK - I wanted to get one for $599 in the USA but I missed the window on the clearance sale!

Although, looking at currency conversions, it doesn't seem like *quite* as amazing of a deal from a US customer's perspective... £451 is still $743 O_O

However, it makes me feel better about the M11x R3 I purchased - it has an i7 processor, 540m 2GB, 6GB of memory, 500GB HDD, and bluetooth for $1149. That comes out to £697.29. I configured my M11x R3 on the UK site and without discounts it would cost £1279, or $2107 :O Part of all this is just that the British pound has always been much stronger than the US Dollar, but still. Currency conversions make my head spin round and round.
