Is this a good laptop for cpu intensive games? Is it upgradeable in the long term?

And is this forum a good place to buy and sell used pcs and and parts?

The CPU + GPU is upgradeble (CPU up to 4940MX but you probably don't want that in this chassis, GPU is MXM3.0B spec)...

It's using a MQ CPU and a 3GB 970M, so while the CPU can be upgraded, I don't think the GPU can.

Both CPU and GPU can be upgraded in this laptop. It uses a socketed CPU, and also uses an MXM GPU. They don't make any GT60/70 laptops with soldered GPU/CPUs. Additionally MSI does make a 3GB MXM 970m. They also make 4gb and 8gb MXM 980m cards.

Ah, good stuff then. I wasn't aware they made the MXM cards with the reduced VRAM.

I'm still giddy about my $30 T9900. Now the cheapest online in China is about $60.
