Never been so tempted to get something I really dont need than I am right now.
Finally I find them in stock, at a reputable seller none the less, the exact model I wanted, and its fully loaded with the highest spec they have (120gig HDD? I wonder if thats a typo)
I just got the G50V and very rarely would I need the Wind but its so freakin cool, so if I dont want one I hope you guys get them all since these things are very hard to find.

Didn't want the Love Edition or the 6 cell Pink one?
-
They up the the size of the HDD but it's still the 3-cell battery.I would hold out for a 6-cell.

6 cell would be nice but not the end of the world. You still get over 2 hours with the 3 cell and I just happen to be techy enough to know how to open batteries and manually upgrade them if i really need to. -
You can open the battery and add more cells??
Anyways, the Wind looks cool, But I think I would rather the Acer Aspire One for $100 less with a 6-cell battery. Only 1 inch smaller -

I have not looked at the one much, but the Wind won me over early with built in bluetooth (a must) a regular hard drive, near full size keyboard, and all the other necessities.
Plus it has Windows 95 wich is ok but it fully works with Vista and I like that.
However I did just cxl the order lol, not because its not perfect in spec but just because I need to talk with the wife first about it since I should save for it first and not put it on a credit card. -

er windows xp typo lol
see if feels that old since i have used Vista exclusivly for over a year. -
Without SP1....I feel sorry for you

no 6 cell
can anyone find the 6 cell for this?

Hehe, I always get tempted with technology.
But the recurring questions, "Do I really need this? And how often will I use it?" come up and often the answer is no and very little. Maybe those questions would come up less if I had money to burn, but alas, I do not.
Anyway, I guess I'm ignorant to the whole netbook deal, but I don't see why there is so much hype surrounding them. I guess portability with my laptop isn't a big issue for me, but I still don't see how dropping $300+ will help alleviate whatever stresses you have with a typical laptop. If portability was an issue or factor, surely one would spend that extra $300+ on a "proper" notebook?
/This angle of perception brought to you by a frugal tech enthusiast that is netbook-ignorant. Wait, what? -

ebay maybe a good spot to check but not sure if they would be worth the cost.
edit: nvm nothing on ebay. -
Seems you got the money to burn. I just bought a laptop as a desktop and laptop replacement, so buying a netbook now would make me feel a bit daft about my purchase (I would probably drag my MSI Wind with me every time I go out then). I assume you go to LAN parties and whatnot? The G50 will fit the bill there, MSI Wind for everything else -

I'll sit on it for a bit and think if I should get maybe a 13-15" notebook instead and also depate giving her a $500 notebook when the most she ever gave me was like $50 for a present.
MSI Wind $499 In Stock fully loaded
