MS Office Ultimate for $60 and more.
Could someone explain their whole Windows Red deal? Would I have to buy XP/Vista (like $100) then upgrade to Red for $60 more? Or just buy Red?
-
Red is not an OS; it's just a thing where they donate 10 dollars of each purchase to charity.
Anyway, what you would be buying is Vista Ultimate, and that'd mean you'd have to have a current OS to upgrade from, so it depends on what you're running right now whether or not you'll need to buy Vista/XP (probably you won't if you already have one of them) -
Keep in mind that many universities offer low cost software at steep discounts, i.e. Microsoft Office for $1, so check with your school before buying.

As a student you can also download Microsoft software for free through the Dreamspark program: https://www.dreamspark.com/
