    I think that this has been going on for a while along side with the cheap office ultimate for students.

    It's a good deal but most college students can get Ultimate and Office for under $30 each. My friend works at the campus tech store and with his discount Office Enterprise is $10 and Vista Ultimate is $6.

    I got office free, and many copies of xp 32bit/64bit pro and vista 32/64 but buisness version for free from mine. I dont know if i would have paid money for the upgrade to ultimate if the option was available though.

    Same here with my school. I think most larger institutions will provide free or discounted software to their students, staff and faculty.

    not everyone goes to school, I had to buy a full version off ebay

    Its sometimes even cheaper to sign up for a computer class at a community college for a few hundred dollars, get the msdnaa package which will be several os's, server os's, office suites, visio, project, etc. Drop the class and keep the sofware :cool:

    Yeah, I admit I've consider picking up a few computer related class just for that reason. :p
