Hi, I live in Canada. If I order from NCIX, will I be charged with brokerage fees? They use UPS/FedEx to ship.

Thanks for the quick reply. How does brokerage work anyway? So if they are from Canada shipping to somewhere else in Canada means no brokerage fees? If US ship to Canada means brokerage right?
Also, isn't NCIX a US site since it's ".com not .ca?"

NCIX has two locations, one in Ontario, Canada, the other somewhere in the States (sorry, don't know quite where). If you order from the Canadian site, you will be charged tax (GST and PST) and it will ship from the Canada location, hence since it's shipping within borders there will be no brokerage fees at all. The .com has nothing to do with the US. Sure, companies from the States adopt this suffix quite a bit, but 'com' just mean 'commercial'. Anyone from anywhere can use it.

Edmonton Alberta. So no brokerage fees for sure right using UPS ground shipping (cheapest choice and also one of the fastest)? Because I've been hit hard once when I bought some shoes online and got charged $50 brokerage for $100 shoes shipping from US>CAN

    Yes your fine
Here is the link to the company that I buy from
They are in BC as well

    http://www.anitec.ca//home.aspx

If you purchase from the usa again have the seller send usps
Its like a flat rate of $6 for the brokerage fee
    UPS is horrible

Here's another guideline for brokerage and customs:

-If under $20 (CAD), no additional fees charged when crossing border
-If under $60 and declared as GIFT, no additional fees once again

Other than that, you will be charged a flat rate plus tax on your item, which can easily amount to more than the value of the item.

Thanks Tomcat57. You know, for the life of my I can't figure out this rep system. For instance, I had 4 reps pending in my user cp, so perhaps there's a delay of some sort, or maybe a mod has to initiate it... not quite sure. What I do know is that we can only receive one rep from a unique user for some time frame.

I'm going to return the rep for your insightful posts, and that you're in the same province as me! (I'm in Victoria btw).

Congrats on the purchase inchyfingers, which router did you pick up?
