Thanks for the response. How so? I have another HP...an Elite m9150f with 750GB and Q6600 processor...only 3GB RAM....32-bit Vista Premium...Got it last year for about a grand...CPU only...the 22 inch monitor brought it to about 1400...

I was tempted to get this as my second desktop primarily for business stuff in my home office...

I appreciate the response. Just wanted to know why it is a terrible deal.

    Thanks again.

How does this one look? Good deal? Any advice would be appreciated. :)

The processor on this last one looks better, IMHO, but I am soliciting any opinions, good or bad, as I bow to the experts. :)

The deal is alright, but considering I can get a custom desktop with an
    -Awesome Case
    -Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Processor Q8300 2.5GHz
    -Nvidia Geforce 9800GT with 512MB
    -750GB of HDD [Serial-ATA-II, 3Gb, 7200 RPM, 16M Cache]
    -4GB or ram
-and pretty much everything you have up there
    for 20$ more

I'd also pass on this deal.

Note: Costco is a bad place to look for cheap computers

    Opps sorry

Man there are a lot of good buys out there with monitors. Look around. If your not wanting to order look at Sams or Best Buy. I actually like using compusa they so far have had some great customer support for me.

You might want to try asking this on DesktopReview.com, they'd probably be able to point in the right direction--not to say that the forum members here couldn't though.

Thanks, everybody, for the responses. I will be giving the Costco computers a big old PASS.

Thanks for the info on desktopreview.com, though that place is dead comparatively speaking when compared to this one.

I just configured a great HP system for about 10 bucks more on the HP site under their new sale. Q8300 processor, 640 GB drive and everything in the Costco deal except for the extended warranty that Costco automatically offers.
