The Canon people don't... :( Still it is rare to see photography equipment get a discount.

    I so would love a D7000

Alas so expensive for prosumer stuff

I wonder if 10% off direct really beats out prices you find on sites like BugDig, Adorama, and B&H

pardons for my silly ignorance, and i don't mind to troll here.

In a professional point of view, is Nikon better than canon? I have a T2i, but i never had a chance to try a Nikon camera. Do they offer more lenses and parts?

Just consider them equal and any one that says one is better than the other has some reason based on preference.

Id say Cannon offers some better pro-sumer level bodies that are priced well and perform well, but I like the ergonomics of Nikon bodies.

For the D7000 it's a better price, even if you normally don't get charged tax from those other shops. For other things not so much. All depends on what you want.

A lot of it is based on preference. When comparing, compare based on specific models versus just the brand.

In my (admittedly limited) experience, I find that Canon's higher-end cameras take slightly better shots than comparable Nikons. From the entry level DSLR and downward through basic point and shoot, Nikon has the advantage.

    Just my ¥1.53.

    So true.
I have owned pro level of both.....they are both good brands with cameras that CAN take great pictures (depending on who is using them).

I personally like the setup/ergonomics of Nikon pro level cameras so I decided to stick with them 4 years ago and sold my canon stuff.

This wasn't suppose to expire until next month but it looks dead already.
