This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    It struck me as a little weird they only take AmEx and money order and checks. Great deal on a rarely discounted item, if you're brave enough to try it. I'll wait for someone else's results first.

    Yup they are a shame. All the payment options listed are methods that provide little/no protection against scams. Only a CC provides complete protection.
