    Just bought the following through a Gateway Rep. over the phone:

    You think it's a decent deal??

    This is the middle of the pack from the new FX series of gaming laptops - the great thing I learned is that if you buy through a rep - you can dicker at Gateway. The site lists this for $1,999.99 but I paid $1,699.99 plus free shipping. His name is Rico Gaeza. E-mail him at [email protected] and tell him Dean from NY sent you.     I think thats a sweet deal. I bought the P6831FX from BestBuy for $1350 and then put in a t7700 proc in it for another 200. Let me know how yours performs with the 8300 proc in it.

    dude, i got the same laptop but with $200.00 discount free shiping & hand., and my customer service rep. stated that this is the maximum that she could've done ! Shall i recall my order and place the new one ?!

I just called my sales rep Courtney @ 800.846.2042 x25473, and had mentioned to her a deal that was offered to you, and guess what, she took another $100.00 !!!! Its amazing. So i got my sistem for the total of $1850.00 including taxs. Original price was $2000.00 plus taxs ! Thanks again dude, you've saved me $100.00

    umm, you know, she mentioned to me that it could be shipped in a week actually. So, hopefully i'll lay my hands on it much sooner.

    hahah, now i just hope that Gateway had changed their assembly production line, and their laptops are not so ****ty like they used to be in terms of the hardware reliability.
