this heatsink is on sale and....i avoid rebates like the black plague since i have been screwed over by them. AKA Staples is the worst...avoid them like...the phage. So anyone have any issues with newegg rebates? Should i get this one?

Newegg.com - Shell Shocker Deal. Exclusive Jaw Dropping Savings on PC Components and Electronics.

it seems to be a good heat sink any thoughts? do i dare the 45 dollar rebate? Will I even get the 45 bucks? I did Staples rebates before and received maybe half of the rebate...Blarg?

hard to say.. I bought the Arctic MX2 thermal paste a while back because it was free after rebate. Some people reported getting the rebate within 2 weeks, but I haven't gotten mine and it has been about 5 weeks.

Actually I've never had any problems with Staples online rebates. Just go to the website, once you have an account set up you just enter the serial number from your receipt, don't have to mail anything in. And you can check the status of your rebate by logging in to your account.

I don't shop there anymore. I shop at office depot now. Their worklife rewards are pretty book. I saw a huge sale on HP photo paper so i bought like 200 dollars worth of paper for like 100 bucks ^^
