As a note, the 3700M is MXM 2.1 type III, and is basically a GTX 280M; which costs more than twice as much.

Seems like a pretty good deal.

Probably, is the NP8662 the same as a M860TU?

Because niffcreature has a 3700m in his M860TU.

Wow its interesting that you were able to find that.

I find them on ebay for less occasionally but its because the sellers never get the titles right ;)

200 is a great price and its the most cost effective upgrade hands down.

If you really don't trust them, you should check ebay, sometimes if you search for an 8730w GPU it will come up as an FX3700m for less than $200.
That's how I got mine, thanks to niffcreature.

But on ebay they are used, I don't know if the notebookparts.com version is really new. They say it's a pull, but I don't understand why you would pull a GPU from a new notebook.

Yes mine came from a 8730w, I believe the 3700m is pretty much the same as your 9800m (as in the location of the chokes and other major parts), so I would guess it should fit just fine. But I don't know for sure.
