I'm really starting to like these SSD prices. Personally, my hard drives never contains more than 20GB's of data each. I don't know how people can download, copy, create, install 750GB, 1 Terabyte, 2 Terabytes et.... that's insane.

    I don't like mail-in rebates though...

This seems like a pretty good deal if you don't mind the rebates. I have some experience with OCZ rebates. I've always gotten them, but they are slow. I'd make sure you make copies of everything before sending the forms in. My last OCZ rebate took about four months to get.

In my book OCZ has a long way to go as far as quality is concerned. I've had a few DOA SSDs and a few more that were unstable. Their support techs were pretty bad too (email them about RMA'ing an SSD and they immediately started asking me about OCZ RAM RMAs instead ).

Their support forums show a trend of SSD problems too, though they might be improving with the Vertex2/Agility2 drives.

I've had three or four of them and never an issue. I have the Agility 2 in my desktop. It's been a solid performer.

So, what's the difference between their Agility 2 and Vertex 2 drives? The only one I found was some IOP score, which is related to disk access times....

Then, you would only have to pays s.tax & no shipping : ) Not sure when newegg will replenish & price will go fluctuate back down. It depends on the "now" factor for you & waiting for later deals. ;) There will always be later deals. : )
