Nice. Currently using a 128GB Agility 4 in one of my laptops with no problems. Seems faster than my 128GB Samsung 830

almost 100$ cheaper then crucial m4 512gb. imo it's worth the chance.

I picked up an OCZ for $200, 360gb. At the time it was best deal to date. If I didn't already have one I would buy this no problem.

Their customer service department needs improving, but for this price its worth the risk.

This uses a Indilinx (Marvell w/ a different firmware) controller so you don't have to deal with all the Sandforce problems either. Seems like a very good deal.

Very nice deal, but there are a lot of bad reviews about this :(

@ R3d: Are you sure it will be reliable like Samsung 830 or Crucial? I will buy one immediately.

It uses the Marvell 88SS9174 controller, which should be pretty reliable (it's what that Crucial M4 uses, and that's pretty well regarded). OCZ uses their own custom firmware, but the underlying hardware is still the same. I'm not sure if it's as reliable as the m4 or 830, but most of OCZ's problems in the past were because of the Sandforce controller (and their poor handling of the problems associated with that controller), so their newer Indilinx SSDs should be considerably more reliable than their previous gen Sandforce ones. But OCZ has notoriously bad customer service so on the off chance that something does go bad, you might not get much support.

The Vertex models are the higher end versions with synchronous NAND while the Agility models are lower end and use asynchronous NAND (i.e. Vertex is faster/more expensive and Agility is slower/less expensive).

i am only reluctant because i vowed to never buy OCZ after bait and switch incident. I wasn't a victim but can't support a company that told everyone to ummm go away :) But with these prices it is hard to resist even though I hold my principles strongly. Also because this has 3 eggs on newegg :/ If i product somehow has less than 4 it is 99% of the time a bad sigh.

And that's exactly why I will choose to pay slightly more and support a different company. Very few companies are "angels" (for lack of a better word) in the tech sector, but OCZ is one of the most egregious offenders.

IDK a $300 chance is not one that I want to take. You have no idea what flash you will get (OCZ uses whatever is cheapest on Agility level drives). Even if you get a good drive, the performance is pretty shotty.

I don't know where you got that from. The Agility drives are every bit as fast and the M4 or 830. I also think that the problems with OCZ are being exaggerated here. Like I said, I am currently using two 360GB Agility 3, one 180GB Agility 3 and a 128GB Agility 4 and I haven't had any problems with any of them.
