Newegg has OCZ Core Series V2 OCZSSD2-2C30G 2.5" 30GB SATA II & Mini USB 2.0 Port Internal Solid state disk (SSD) for $69.99 with $20 mail-in-rebate making it $49.99 after rebate.

I know very little about SSDs, is this a good drive/price?

The reviews for this are all over the board, probably not the best. But it does have a decent price if you want to try SSDs out.

Thanks, I did some research after posting. Not a great SSD (MLC), but hard to beat at that price. One question though. I've read it has poor random write times, would they be worse or better than a 5400 RPM HDD?
