Credit goes to SlickDeals. I saw this on their site, and thought it was a good deal... I believe this is a Compal JFL92 rebrand.

you also need the dvd drive as well.. if this is the barebone model they advertise. it says it comes with it but all the barebones ones i ordered required i buy the drive so im not sure .. may want to check on that, they may be including it which would be a freaking steal.. this is a great solid laptop. also i wonder which screen they are including prob not the wsxga

That chasis looks a lot like a vostro 1500/inspiron 1520...is it based on the same design?
-
it is the compal fl92 just rebranded
-
edit nvr mind it looks different. -
-
a lot of dells are in fact made by compal but this one is not used by dell
-
Amazon lists it as coming with a DVD burner.... This seems like a really good deal considering you could grab a cheap C2D, hd, and RAM and turn this into a decent 500-600$ system that is capable of playing most games on medium settings.
-
yeah i saw that i would double check the burner. as i said i have 3 of these and none came with the burner.. they wpuld have to have specifically added that from ocz when they were put to together from ocz. all three i have bought did not come with it

this one is more expensive. does it have some of those items (listed in op) already in it? I don't think it does...
i'm thinking of gutting my e1705 to put parts in this... maybe -
is really useful for me
