Hmm, I guess you get what you pay for. I do have a couple of OCZ Vertex Plus 128GB drives that I bought since last December and have been completely trouble free, so I thought OCZ had succeeded in putting these reliability problems behind them. Maybe not...

Original OCZ Vertex and Agility drives, as well as initial Vertex 2 and Agility 2 are ok. It's the later ones that stink.

If anyone wants to take a chance on it, NCIX has extended the sale to March 14 and sweetened the deal with a $20 gift card. I wasn't going to buy one, but now I'm tempted to roll the dice. :err:

I bought one a couple weeks ago from Microcenter, same deal $99 after a 30 rebate. Performs just fine. It is in my XT3 for now. Cold boot Windows 8 from power button to browsing internet in 12 seconds. Great performance and capacity for the price if you're willing to "roll the dice".

Regarding "roll the dice" - When I posted this morning I noticed that the mods had removed a post (originally post#2) from this thread from a user who linked to the reviews on Newegg about this ssd. If you look there you'll see the reason for my comment.

Hope you got a good one. I'm still on the fence.
