I see you can upgrade to 2 Gig of Ram for $59.95. Is this HP worth the money, or would I be better off waiting & paying a little more to get a Dell? Your responses will be appreicated.

For a mid-range 17" entertainment notebook, its a really good deal (probably the best you can find), especially considering it's loaded with a webcam, dual mic, DL DVD+/-RW, 120GB HDD, Vista Premium, etc... The TK-53 is also a good processor, being a 65nm Tyler core (which is supposedly the same architecture of the new chips AMD recently announced).
What I haven't been able to tell is if it has discrete graphics or not. Since this is a Office Depot sold HP CTO (DV9000Z), the only info I have is a configuration number, which I can't do much with since it's an internal reference number (doesn't correlate to any specific model). And Office Depot is known for advertising systems without making mention they have discrete graphics, so you may be pleasantly surprised.
Worst case scenario is you get some reasonable integrated graphics (GeForce Go 6150). Best case scenario is you get a model with 7*** series GeForce Go discrete graphics. Either way, with a $400 instant rebate, and $200 mail in rebate, it's is an awesome deal, even for a DX9 series laptop.
Also, this time of year, Office Depot rebates arrive in about a month if you give them everything they need. So that's not too bad compared to some other retailers. -
UPDATE: Actually it is the 6150. If you put the configuration number into their CTO builder it shows you the available options (the Go 7600 not being one of them).
