Wow! Don't tempt me. :) Although what's up with the LCD controller, there don't seem to be any others available for sale. Can you use two of them connected to the Wii U?

WiiU's can only have 1 gamepad attached to them so there isn't any reason to sell them instore.

I did some research and appears they can use 2 at once, just that you reduce FPS to 30 to drive the extra screen. They cost about $130 extra though. Just seems like a massive oversight by Nintendo. My kids would fight over the screen controller all the time. Maybe I just let them use the nunchucks and put the LCD aside.

Just googled and yeah I see that too now, other forums I used to go on would get asked this often when the WiiU first came out and the answer I gave was the one I always saw.

The gamepad will get cheaper overtime as more consoles sell/more get produced but eh, I think the performance cut is to much for them to make the two gamepad controller ability a standard on all games as some don't run at 60fps.

Not that surprised, I get taxed on digital purchases. Still a damn good deal, I paid $350 ( +13% tax ) at launch and I only owe 2 games for it, nintendoland that came with it and is a real good at showing what the system is capable off and New Super Mario Bros U because you always need a platformer for your new nintendo system. Been saving to build a pc all along so it's not the lack of games I want that is the question. It's basically the perfect time to pick one up as mario kart 8 is coming out, smash bros in the winter, X + bayonetta 2 and you can get the things already released like wind waker if you haven't played it on gamecube, wonderful 101 and pikmin 3. It's going to be my only next-gen console as I don't want to start paying for online like they do with PS4 and Xbox One.

I have a Wii, maybe I should bite. But I just "upgraded" my kids' DS to 2DS because all the games they wanted were 3DS. Similar deal with the Wii, there's quite a few new Wii U games that they want that are Wii U only.

You can sell you Wii too to help offset the cost of the Wii U and I believe the Wii U plays Wii games. I got $100 for mine on eBay with a few games.

Good point! I have two Nintendo DS's to sell too, maybe get $30-40 each for those. Ah eBay, it's a love-hate relationship.

Be sure to keep your wii if you have any digital content/saves you want to transfer over, you need both in order to do that.

If you have the original white wii that can play gamecube games, you could feature that and try to get more off it.

That's a pretty good deal. About 4 months ago I snagged a brand new Skylander WiiU Bundle on Amazon for $150. :)

Nice! I got it for $350 at launch and still only own two games for it.

Thinking about picking up a white wiiu pro controller and need for speed most wanted U + demon souls PS3 for a friend.

I own more games on the WiiU than PS4 (3) and Xbox One (3) games combined. I'm really disappointed with both the new systems. Excessive wait times installing games, patches for the games on average are over 2GB. Dead Rising 3 has a 17GB patch.

I just prefer inserting the disc and playing. Plus for me I always buy Nintendo consoles for their 1st party games. I preordered Mario Kart 8 on Ebay. I'm looking forward to that.

In some cases yes and in others no. The DR3 17GB patch was a forced update under the guise of performance enhancement but was really for the DLC even if you had no intentions of buying it. Forza 5 required huge updates as it was rushed. NBA 2K14 has on average 500-1.5GB updates and that has been ongoing.

My other problem with both the PS4 and XONE are the MASSIVE install sizes which only allow for a limited amount of games to be installed on the hard drive. If you have a lot of games it will force an upgrade. Microsoft has yet to address this.

I still prefer the 3-5MB patches for Xbox 360 games.

I read yesterday on one of the gaming sites that MS is going to release an update sometime in June and will add support for USB 3.0 drives (256GB min) and will allow two simultaneous external drives. So far that's all the info available. Will a USB 3.0 Passport drive work or will you need one like Nintendo that requires an external power supply? That info is not available yet. Truthfully i'm already in the burned out stage with both the PS4 and XONE. So I won't be needing an external drive.

Couldn't decide for the longest time if to get mario kart 8 on the eshop or retail, I save 10$ plus cheaper tax on the eshop ( deluxe promotion ) and wiiu is a bit loud when reading disks so was worried about that. Preordered retail and said to heck with it. I love using my Wii-U even for web browsing, just don't get to use it as much as I want because I beat all the games I have for it.

I ordered one a few days ago, with the free game from purchasing MK8 and the new Zelda coming out put me over the edge. Can't wait to get back into Nintendo gaming!
