This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Was just wondering what old products you saw last year that you just had to have only to see them this year for half the price? I think some really good deals are out there for people who don't need the latest and greatest of items, but companies don't usually give much information on old products.

    Saw a couple of sony laptops I wanted to get 2 years ago for around $500, more than 50% discount from the original price. I personally got a dv5000 almost three years ago, and at that time it was already old, typing on the computer now and it works fine.. enough. But defintely want an upgrade, but want a good upgrade for not a lot of money. So what are some old laptops or items that are just as good as they were a year or two ago yet a whole lot cheaper now?
