Random advices (will organize better later)
- Amazon Mom gives 20% on a lot of stuff
- Pay attention to dealers on amazon that have high shipping but low cost item. Some dealers have prorated shipping. You just have to try them all until you find one that does that. I bought 6 mop heads real cheap by doing that. The dealer that works for items like that I'll post in my list. If it is out dated let me know so i can update it.
- Always use froogle/google shopping to price check. It is the BEST price checker.
- http://camelcamelcamel.com/ (if you don't know about it already i am sorry...you will be kicking yourself like i am)
- Always check coupon sites!
-www.couponcabin.com (If a Coupon Cabin coupon does not work they will give you a $25 gift card to restaurants.com or whatever. I have yet to use mine...the selection varies a lot and i just haven't found a place i am interested to go to whenever i look at it.) - www.Rakuten.com
-Some people hate it and there is much debate about fraud with cards getting stolen. So only use a credit card...that is a given rule since Federal laws protect you. Plus use one that is easy to work with. USAA credit card service is amazing. Had to use it twice so far. Each time within a 5 min phone call everything is fixed and a new card is to me within 2 days usually.
-Rakuten I guess has a 15-20% cash back in Rakuten points so I'll be using them a lot in the future when they have those sales. I'll post when they have those. - www.slickdeals.com has tons of good stuff. I have yet to have a chance to figure out how to set up a profile for auto alerts. Not sure if it works well but if i find a good guide or figure it out I'll post a guide.
- Advance auto parts has a $50 off $100 all the time so do google searches for it. They really need to change their system because you don't need to even buy something during a promotion. It is the same code for everyone....not sure how they are still in business.
- www.cheapair.com - has a great search engine to see the cheapest flights. If you go and do flexible search it gives you the cheapest flight and the days that price is available. It is useful if you do not have a set time for the trip or if you are initially setting up your planes.
- www.truecar.com !!!! never buy a car without using this!
- If anyone is buying a Toyota car let me know. I know most of the real prices for the add ons in my head. Like the real price for a 7 year 125k mile warranty is $840, which is awesome! Also if you live in Chicago land area buying a Toyota shoot me a PM I'll try my best to get you a great deal depending on my time. If not i'll let you know everything i can to help you get the best deal possible. The only two cars i will ever buy right now is a corolla since it is ~16k. or 19k OTD with taxes plates vehicle protection, key warranty, and 7 year 125k warranty....maybe something else too. Next is a hybrid Camry....the hydrid Camry turns out to be equal or cheaper than the standard Camry once you figure in fuel savings and higher resale value (from last i checked)

Once my wife and I get around to figuring out the best Credit cards for points i'll update here with a guide. I read on a credit card forum that amazon books gives 5% on anything charged by amazon so I'll be checking that out since that beats the 3% from the amazon card. If you spend a ton on groceries American Express has a $70 (I think) a year card fee but it gives 6% back on all groceries. I doubt that i spend that much but I'll have to look at that stuff when i get a chance to use quicken.
Two sites to check until i get a chance to do my research and post it on here. Everyone is difference so you might want to give it a look yourself. I feel like am i flushing free money down the drain lol. I have like 70k points but if i would have started using a credit card sooner i would have an easy 120k and if i used good cards i would have 200-300k by now :/ If your young figure it out now so you can save 1-6% on everything.

reserving this too

I only say unsure because the posts may get a bit far from the focus of this forum. I could maybe see it in Off Topic. The Tips in Post 3 are Excellent BTW! Thanks I have a few but most would be considered borderline ethical.
IF Giant food market has a coupon for $10 off $100 spent, and you can only spend $60 just purchase three $15 mops, as I did and return them later -

Thanks I just hate wasting money plus I hate finding out that I could have saved money ages ago but never found out about some neat way. I am currently stuck on some other project I need to finish but I plan on working on this a lot. I also plan on making one section into a buy list....as in the products that are clearly the best in a certain section and the only one worth buying. There are 3 USB sticks I have found and they are the only ones worth buying period. I'll update that stuff later.

That Eneloop pack is pretty sweet. Though I don't have that many battery run devices. I like the addition of the Camelcamelcamel graphs. One change I might recommend is that it not be called Slick Deals since that site already exists.

I also put in a request for changed title but never happened...i clarified it but no change. The new title is in the title of the first post....i put it there because i didn't want to forget it, which was good since i need to resubmit that request i guess. -

thats not a bad idea....i was planning on putting tech in it too if it was a generally accepted best item to buy for the money.
I plan on throwing this in there too
SanDisk Extreme 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Review :: TweakTown
Amazon.com: SanDisk Extreme 64 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive up to 190 MB/s SDCZ80-064G-X46: Electronics
This is the fastest USB drive worth the money. The reviews shows it has the best random writes out of any drive, which means that it will transfer word docs, pictures, small files well above 30MBps. Many USB 3.0 drives that have 100MBps transfers can't transfer pictures at or above 30MBps because of those low random writes. Also this drive is even good for running programs off it too. I throw TOR and Opera on a USB drive to use on other computers. You could use this as a decent boot drive too. all the other USB 3.0 drives have like 0.004MBps 4k random write -_-
So i could make two threads....one for tech only and one for other than tech....what do you think?
I also plan on adding good deal sites to the third post in ways to save money. Also anyone know how to make a slick deals alert system? They offer a way to customize alerts for good deals but haven't had tiem to figure it out or see if there was a good guide or if it was even useful.
I also will throw up that checking daily deal sites as a general waste of time...especially now...they don't put up any where near as good of items on them any more. I am far bigger fan of just rocking slick deals and that is it. Maybe also woot watcher but i got to install it again. The time spent checking sites is generally not worth it now. Hence why I like slick deals and woot watcher. Woot watcher lets you check like 30 deals in literally 30 seconds comapred to 10 mins checking all the sites.
Saving money is pointless if you waste more time trying to save the money...hence why i want to try to make this thread/threads work so others can profit from all the time i have wasted. Help is also appreciated ^^ -

And, it had nothing to do with creating a separate "tech only thread" for Tech Deals. That is what this SubForum has been, and is all about : ) . As, @abtnet stated below everyone posts individuals deals within here and has done that for ever-so long, and I would think would like to continue doing that.
So, no not a good idea is my thought on 2 threads...seems a mess to me.

i was referring to not just a deal thread but also like a buyers guide....for the average joe. If you want to not waste your time looking for the best item/best deal on an item get this one...or get one of this group of items because the rest are not worth it. What i am thinking of is not just what is a good price at the moment but a good price all the time. Like the usb 3.0 drives. That sandisk one is not a "good deal" as in it is at it's normal retail price but it is the best one to buy compared to all the others, which at best are 15 bucks less. Let me elaborate on what i am trying to get at:
EDIT: Do you see what i was thinking about doing for tech stuff? Not as much as a hot deal this second more of a buyers guide for best bang for your buck 24/7. A purchase you just can't go wrong with that you can buy any time.
EDIT: submitted another title change...sorry mods :/
New title will be this: "Other Than Tech Deals/ways to save/places with cheapest prices (US/Canada only)" That really sums up all 3-4 posts fairly well. Asked mods if this should be off topic or not too. Also what about tech one like i said...i think that would be handy for people that don't have a lot of time and are not super concerned about getting 100% the best deal. This is something i wish tweak town would do...they have so many good reviews on everything yet no buying guide :/
