    Yea ummm.... In store pick-up is the only option, they won't ship, and I can't find a single store that has one... If anyone has any luck actually finding a store that has these available please do tell.

    Last I was in my local best buy (knoxville, tn) they had two 7811s on display.

    Try calling the store or actually going in to BB. I checked online and found the same thing that you did but the local BB here also had two on display. I could even get 10% off because they were "display" models. I still couldn't bite the bullet. That's a great deal on that particular lappy for the performance you get out of them. I guess my XPS M1710 is still serving me well. I almost bit on the OCZ white book but alas no. The Sager 9262 looks good also but I think I'm just gonna save up 'cuz I think something BIG is just around the corner. :D Hint hint.

    I called BB a few days back and they said they checked the inventories of all stores in New England through the computer and couldn't find any 7811s... I even went so far to ask if it was available anywhere in the United States at all, and they said it would take hours to do a search like that.

    Like I said I actually went in to the store and saw two of them on display. That might be your only course of action now that they are discontinued. Good luck. :)

    What is so great about this system? I'm looking for 2.4 or 2.5 GHz at ~$1,000. Is it possible? Will the price drop in Christmas sales?

    A friend of mine just bought one from the Mall of America Best Buy with a 10% discount for it being a "display" model. There were two. :D
