Definitely a heck of a deal. I just can't justify it to myself when I already have like five 8GB and two 16GB flash drives.

I have this flash drive in the 8GB flavour and the Patriot Rage XT 16GB. Definitely awesome drives. The only other drive that I found to be comparable was the OCZ ATV, which I bought for my gf.

The rubber cap can be attached to the end of the USB flash, so as long as you put it there immediately no worries.

The first Patriot I bought didn't even last a year, although it was an older model. I liked the speed, so I bought an 8gb XT model and that one has held up good. The only problem with the Patriot XT is that it is huge, and sometimes it will not fit into the remaining unused usb ports on some of the computers that I need to plug it in to, so most of the time I just reach for my small verbatim memory stick.

I'm not sure bout the previous or other models, but these Patriot Xporter XTs are built to withstand a nuclear blast. I've accidentally put mine in the washing machine at least half a dozen times, ran it over by a car once, and it still works like new :)
