Planet Earth: The Complete BBC Series [Blu-ray] (narrated by Sir David Attenborough) - $24.99 with free Prime Shipping

This is an awesome Series, well worth the price (and the cheapest out there right now). Shipping is out about 10-13 days. But, I have found that in these cases, amazon always ships sooner than that.

Absolutely agree. This is an amazing series!

$25 isn't really much for the stuff you get. :)

Phenomenal series. I saw it when it was originally aired. Think I may buy!

edit: Just realized it's $24.99 at Best Buy too.

If you have a decent HD screen, I'd really suggest watching it again in BluRay quality. I watched a part called 'Caves' the other day - the details are really amazing! I gasped so many times.... the nature is really incredible - even more so when viewed in BluRay quality. ;) :D

The thing that caught me when Earth aired on Discovery HD originally is how crisp and clear it came through on cable. Because even HD on cable is compressed and noticeable after watching Blu-Ray movies. But that time it was phenomenal.

I may buy it though, good for me and my kids to watch together, or just to have on in the background instead of Nick Jr. or Sprout...

Probably get it from Best Buy because same price and can get it asap instead of waiting two weeks. Granted I'll have to pay sales tax, but I think I can swing the $1.50. ;) Not to mention I think I only need a few more reward zone points to get a $20 gift cert. :)

I know what you mean, I had a several HD channels when I had cable in NYC. But IMO bluray is another step forward in picture quality. It's funny so many times when I was watching this series, I could hardly believe it was recorded on Earth. :) Some environments they show beat even the weirdest alien worlds from Star Trek. :D

If you're lucky enough to have an HD DVD drive like I do you can usually pick this up on eBay for less than $15.
