I think its the lowest price one can find.

It's the same price at Best Buy also, and I am sure other places will price match eventually.

 

The amazon one ships for FREE. On the other side, $35 plus $5-10 of gas depending where you live. Is a no-brainer, the best deal is the one where you don't pay gas because ships for FREE. Its a win win with the amazon offer. REP + to the OP

 

But with nowaday's obesity problems the best choice will be the one that makes you walk to the store don't you think??

The OP's offer is a great deal since it ships for free for $35. But, every one is entitled to their own opinions. So, i would understand you need that much exercise just to get a game on release day.

Even the 2 pack was like $40 per person I think.

Whats most lame though is a single person purchase is $40 on steam now, same price as the 2 pack split between 2 people, so they nullfied the discount for buying a multi pack.

 

That was an excellent deal, it was a shame that no one wanted to split the deal with me half and half

Yeah, that's too bad. Usually games like this don't drop in price at all at launch. Bewilders me. I got the two pack too. But it's money already spent I guess.

 

The best deal is for PS3 owners. You get a free copy of the game for the PC, too. If you order from Amazon, you also get a $20 credit to use on a future purchase. I had a $15 game credit from something I previously ordered. So I'm essentially getting 2 copies of the game for $40.

Yeah, wait, where did you get PS3 version for $40 and that it comes with PC version too? Does it have some Asian characters written on the front of the box?

 

any ps3 version will include a voucher that will activate the game on steam also . He had $15 credit on amazon and used it towards the purchase of the ps3 version, comes to about $57 after tax and shipping

 

The only other step you need to take in order to properly receive the PC version is to link your PlayStation Network and Steam accounts. When you put the Portal 2 PS3 disc in your system, it should automatically prompt you to do this.

Unless you live in a state where Amazon has a retail or distribution presence, or your state legislature has a law requiring collection, there's no tax. So at least in my case, it's actually $55 shipped. Since I'm an Amazon Prime member as well, I get free release day delivery.

 

Oh I was thinking it was a separate PC account. Based on what I've been reading, they accounts are linked so you can't just take the PC game and sell the PS3 game. At least not if you want to play online with your PS3.

Man, I am bummed.

I pre-ordered weeks ago for the "pre-order ultra low price of $40"

Now, a day before launch and it is $5 cheaper.

Oh well, at least I have it on my pc and mac preloaded through steam and can play around midnight tonight (if I am still awake)
