What do you think about purchasing from CDW.com? I live in Canada and I want to buy an Acer Aspire 2012WLMi from CDW.com, which offers international shipment. Does anyone have any experience buying with them? Do you think they would provide support in case anything happens?

    Thanks.

I phoned both CDW.com and CDW.ca (I don't want to buy from CDW.ca because it causes me $400Can. more than purchasing from CDW.com). The sales rep. from CDW.com says that I would have to ship my notebook back to their U.S. address to be fixed, which I expected. But then, the CDW.ca sales rep. told me that I cannot buy from CDW.com, even though I mentioned their international shipping policy [B)]

    Hope to hear back!

It is typical for them to say you cannot buy from the US branch as it would hurt their sales if everyone knew this. I'm sure you can buy from cdw.com in the US.
One thing you may want to check on is the import duties/fee and taxes; I know that cdw.com is not including any of this in their price and it is probable that if ordering from cdw.com in the US, when you package goes into Canada you may have duties and taxes on it and that may be where the $400CAN comes from. Another thing is that different countries have different warranty requirements from manufacturers; the US is very weak on warranties and on the side of the manufacturer whereas Canada may be more like Europe where they are more on the side of the consumer and require by law longer and better warranties, this can also add to the total cost. I would check the US vs Canadian warranty laws.
