I noticed yesterday that Dell is having a deal on their XPS M1330 with an instant savings of $799. I've been considering buying one for a while, and this seems like a really good deal. The deal supposedly ends Monday however, and I'm not sure if I really want to buy one that quickly. Can someone tell me whether or not having an instant savings of $799 is rare enough that I should jump on it now. If chances are good they'll have a similar sale within the next couple months then I'll wait, but if this is as good a deal as it seems then I may just go ahead and get it now.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.

It's not THAT rare. It may not be the best price depending on your needs. Alot of the savings comes from basically giving you a free warranty upgrade. If you go to dell.com/epp, it stacks with an additional 8% off. A week ago, there was a 10% stackable coupon on top of that that got the 1399 configuration down to 1158. If the warranty isn't as valuable, the Dell outlet had some amazing deals this week (less so now that the 15% coupon is expired).

if you want maxed out m1330 then it's the best place to start. i used that same deal with 3 year accidental warranty and combined it with 8% epp, 10% stackable and additional 4% dell DPA discount and came out to total of $1,277 including tax and shipping. you may be able to lower the price depending on what other extras you choose to upgrade. without accidental and white cover you may be able to get it down to $1,150 shipped which is a really good deal.

Right now the only additional discount I can get is 12% through my university if it's over $1600 configured. Any chance of seeing more of those 10% discounts anytime soon?

Well I guess my next question is whether anything new and better will be coming out within a month or two that will rival the m1330?

Dell's new Latitude E-series is supposed to a 13.3 incher. But when they will release it another thing. Also Lenovo is releasing a 13.3 inch laptop some in the "near" future.
