Way to re-post my find here in this forum, heh. :p I guess more people will see it here though than just in the gateway forum. Although, I just checked slickdeals and you actually have it posted there earlier, n-mind, heh.

I have owned three refurbished computers. None have them have given me a problem that wasn't internet based(ex. Virus/spyware)

I've also bought refurbished monitors and never have had a dead pixel in them.

To me it's like buying a certified pre-owned vehicle.

And how is this any different than buying a USED one from someone in the forums sight unseen for $1249.00 plus shipping and insurance that they probably got for the $1149.99 deal with a free $49.99 game of their choice from Best Buy in the first place? This one at least comes with a 30 day no questions asked full refund iffin ya don't like it for any reason. Honestly, I would rather get a refurb at this LOW price than buy a used one from anywhere for a MUCH HIGHER price with NO guarantee. Imho. :D

What do the rest of you guys think? Inquiring minds want to know.

I have exclusively bought refurbs. Never had a problem and I figure the money I am saving has already paid for a potential problem.

My refurb M1330 has never given me a problem.

Most refurbished things have never given me a problem with the exception of a MP3 player, but that had nothing to do with being a refurb, just bad firmware.

I figure in the case of Dell Outlet were you get the same one year warranty as a new laptop it make little difference as if fails they fix it with refurbished parts--whether you bought it new or used.

Still in the case of some products, if it's only a little more to buy it new, it's probably worth it.
