Sellout.Woot has refurbished Razer Mambas available for $69.99 and $5 shipping. Would totally get on this if I hadn't already gotten a Logitech G9.

I didn't buy. I was reading some reviews, said it wasn't that accurate or something compared to the G9x. Why didn't you like it Vicious?

I was considering buying because wireless looks cleaner and well, I still don't know if I will be using it to watch a movie or something from my bed.

Well firstly It was kinda big/heavy. I use a Logitech MX518 for my desktop and a G7 for my laptop.

So due to the size it was awkward to grip with my "claw grip" but the weight made it feel strange when moving it around. The wife did not like it ether.

Then onto its specs, we turned down the DPI to the same level as the MX518 as I found as I always had suspected that the ultra high DPI is just a sales pitch and offers no real advantage. I turned down sensitivity in games and on windows to compensate and the end result with the high dpi is the same speed/accuracy I already had.

So the only thing left up its sleeve was wireless that I did not need/use since its my desktop. I only prefer wireless with my laptop where cables are annoying and a bother when packing in/out of a bag.

For the desktop it just meant using more desk space for the charger/receiver and having to worry about battery life.

Yes you can use it as a wired mouse, but why pay $100 for a wireless mouse to use it as a wired one.

It was too bulky and too much stuff to use with a laptop as well, the dock is big and the cable long, so I would have to use it in corded mode and I hate cords on my laptop stuff. Also since its only got one battery if I used it wireless as a laptop mouse I would have to unpack my stuff at night just to charge the mouse for use the next day. The G7 comes with 2 batteries and a little charger, so I can charge a battery while using the mouse.

I sold it and used the money for something better.

Bummer, I would have liked to have bought it off you to try it out. I don't think I would have many of those issues that concern you, but some points are valid which make it somewhat a waste of money.

Big/heavy? Maybe. I tried out the Deathadder and my Logitech G9, decided with the G9 because I am a claw gripper and it seemed more size appropriate, but I think the deathadder was pretty comfortable and easy to use.

DPI - All really just a gimmick to me. Doesn't matter to me.

The main things I like about it: The looks (black and blue LED), the feel (rubberized and good side buttons imo), and the wired/wireless switch.

    Owell, too late now.

I didn't find it any heavier than G7 and they are about the same size. G7 feels a bit worse compared to mamba, and I am using 1 bar below highest DPI. Can't speak for G9 but it's pretty accurate for me. DPI is certainly not a gimmick to me. Actually I thought the size is pretty good, as my wrist hurts if I'm using something small like Orochi. And I really don't have big hands....

The battery life on Mamba is the entire day, while G7 lasts half a day at best. I am using it on m17x.

The charges is big (but pretty light) so yeah it's not meant to be used as a mobile mouse. It takes a few seconds to plug the cable in the mouse if the battery runs out. And that's the only thing I don't like on mamba - there isn't any really visible visual or sound notification when the battery is about to run out (yeah little LED on the mouse starts blinking, but I can't see that when I am looking at the screen.

Besides, G9 is wired = yuck. Never again...
