well if dell let me use that $100 cupon they game me ..I wil l be happy ...but nope ~~ they don't then again ...I can use this thing then buy another ST 2410 for 99 .... total will around 300 for 2 24 inch screen ....hmmm and now I am using the E248 .... 3 24 inch ? ...my 8800 ultra won't work ..lol

 

Guys, I have the 2493HM and it's a spectacular monitor.

When I bought it at best buy, I had them set up several other units next to it and this one was the best. I also think I bought it for 500 or so.

DOn't know what the difference is but according to this guy, it's the same unit.

If this is true, BUT IT! It's dirt cheap. I intend to call Samsung tomorrow and ask them.

To bad its a cheap TN panel and a gimmicky 16:9 aspect ratio.

I do not think they make any professional 16:9 monitors at all from any of the brands.

Still though for normal use this is a good deal given its size. The taxes are kinda a pain too.

HDMI is not a necessity on a monitor. As long as it has DVI, it is fine.

I received this last tuesday and it is now plugged in to the HP DM3 and PS3 , my 3 year old son is loving it !!!!!
