This is a pretty good deal if you're looking for a decently fast SSD Storage option for second hand games you don't play a lot but would still like to load fast.

    Samsung 860 EVO 1TB M.2
Sequential Read/Write speeds up to 550MB/s and 520MB/s respectively

Pretty nice, I've also seen the Crucial MX500 dip to 155 USD for 1TB.

Good call, I wasn't sure how Crucial held up to Samsung quality wise, I remember 4 years ago my Crucial was dog crap compare to the Samsung I had but thing may have changed. The MX500 is also a pretty good deal too right now!

    Sequential reads/writes up to 560MB/s and /510MB/s

The 1TB 2.5 inch drive is 159 USD probably a little slower than the M.2 but still not a bad drive

Samsung also had the problems with the 840 EVO that were essentially never resolved, every brand's got their notches these days lol

Why would it be slower? Don't both use SATA3 protocol anyway?

I've had nothing but good luck with Crucial SSDs. The one currently in my 16L13 has taken a beating over the last year, and it chugs along with nary a whimper.

I wouldn't call Crucial/Micron a "dog" in any sense of the word..except maybe faithful? Crucial/Micron is not known for speed, but rather reliability/longevity. I've pretty much exclusively used Micron/Crucial drives, none have failed, all have been abused. No it's not samsung pro fast, but it's fast enough, and more importantly CHEAPER! I can live with slightly slower performance if it's going to cost me 50% less.

Spot on. Micron/Crucial are known for reliability and works at advertised speed on both Intel and AMD platforms. I can confirm because Samsung reps at forums said, their SSDs work best with Intel and not AMD.
I hope your abused drives won't sue you. :p

I read something in r/technology that SSD's were gonna be cheaper. I forgot to check back on the prices of SDD and now I ended up seeing this. I remember the last time I saw a 1 TB SSD was a price range of $500 or more. I'm tempted to buy but...maybe just maybe...I should wait a bit more. Hopefully it gets cheaper in the coming holidays.

if you can stand the wait, black friday and the holidays will have better deals on SSD. Prices on them are generally not volatile like RAM, unless they run into some component supply issue like a few years ago with HDDs. Prices are really nice right now though. This Samsung one is pretty good. Crucial 1tb is down to $150. I don't think anyone should get too much buyer's remorse for jumping on one at current prices.

Really takes me back though. I still remember my first 1tb SSD being like $600, and that was off of some amazing deal lol
