MY god! Now i wish i was in the states so i could scoop this up
-
That's too bad..
I have to decide to order this, or wait for the Adamo 13 to be released.
And, I need to decide soon. buy.com's deals usually sell out quickly, and this could also sell very fast!..
Cin -
I could be wrong, but I don't the Adamo is going to be anywhere close to this price. Thinner and lighter, yes, but probably at the cost of power. Though call.
Price: X460
Weight: Adamo
Power: X460
Looks: Adamo (but the X460 is in class of it's own to be a 14 incher) -
Thanks for the informationIt surely helps!
Cin -
Of course if you wait, Windows 7 will be coming out soon too. Windows 7 on a Adamo sounds pretty sweet!
-
I'm sure I can wait. I'm pretty good at that..waited long enough for the Mini 9 to come availi' in red!
Cin -
Nice deal.
Here is $10 Off coupon
http://www.buy.com/retail/coupon.asp?prid=82955137 -
That thing looks pretty slick. I've never even heard of this notebook.
-
Cin -
Go 4 it without hesitation.
-
WOW That is a pretty awesome deal, I'd so go for it!
!!
-
LOL...it's appreciated..
Cin -
I have been watching this laptop for the past 4 days.
I think I am gonna go for it. -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
you should this notebook is awesome and WELL worth the money.
-
How long is this deal going to last?
-
The $300 rebate ends at the end of the month Feb 28
btw; I have seen the sales rank from 747, 343, and now 224
haha. -
If someone finally gets it please tell me how is the display? I know Samsung used to make some of the crappiest laptop screens in the business so I would like to know how good this display is.
-
Buy.com does not have this anymore.
Newegg.com has it but it is $949.
and CompUSA.com has it for $899
However, CompUSA.com is not mentioned in the rebate. Make sure to double check this. -
Oh well, it was good whilst it lasted
Cin -
Its back at buy.com with $889 after MIR!
Go get it!! -
-
And, yes the deal is back! Thanks!
Thanks!
Yes, its look's sickkk sleek and sexy.
Cin -
Just ordered the Samsung...2 days shipping!!
Woohoo -
Grat's to you.
Will you please, provide some pics, and how you are liking it ~ once you have received it?
Cin -
Thanks.
I think I am going to hold off buying this one; the red colour is just too much for me.
I am eyeing Lenovo t400 and 61 right now. -
I was close to picking up this as well. It is actually cheaper at Tiger Direct, if you use Live.com 5% Cashback.. comes to about 850.... It has everything i wanted, and looks sexy as hell, but what killed the deal for me was the glossy finish. I have a Samsung Plasma, and Rock Band 2 guitar that have similar glossy material, and i know i couldn't deal with the constant grease and finger prints. Hopefully they fix this for there next years replacement...
-
OMG GET IT if i had the money...id so get this
-
Anyone receive their X460 yet? Any comments?

Here's the most recent review:
http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/reviews/review.phtml/3849/4873/samsung-x460-notebook-pc-review.phtml -
Ordered my X460 Friday with $2.99 2-day delivery from Buy.com. Thanks for the tip! Got it on Saturday even though my order still said "Processing". I don't order often from Buy.com, but they have a main warehouse about 5 miles away and it almost always comes next day when it's in stock there, regardless of the shipping option I select.
Anyway, so far a very nice machine. There are a few quirks that have been identified in reviews, but for the $880 price after rebate, there's not much competition with its feature set at a 4 pound weight. The Lenovo U330 was my other option.
I'll put a quick review in the X460 thread soon. -
Can't wait to see your quick review....(will we get a pic' too,)?
Cin -
Turning out to be a bit more detailed than I thought. I may just put it in my blog, as I'm out of relevant material at the moment. I'll make a summary and post the link on this thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=302788 when I finish, hopefully Monday. I'll put in a pic for ya lol.
It's a nice deal at the moment. Lots of other stuff I'd consider at the $1500 normal price without a rebate, though. -

If this is the model im thinking of, maximum pc did a review on it
pros: dual core laptop for sub 1k nice battery life
cons: feels like a cheap notebook -
I didn't see that review and couldn't find it on a quick search- do you have a link? I guess that's as good of a quick summary as you could get lol.
I'll have my review Tuesday. I was having some Vista issues related to manual shutdown and cold startups. I think they are resolved now. I'm almost certain it's a software issue, since it wasn't a problem with the factory build. It only started at some point after I did a fresh install on an SSD drive. I probably did something out-of-order, as this is my first Vista machine. I also want to have a few more runs through a full charge for Battery Bar to have better information.
Other than that, it's a lot of machine for the price, especially considering it's thin and only weighs a hair over 4 pounds. My biggest complaint is the vertical viewing angles and the loss of contrast at the brightest settings, especially if you are even a little above or below the sweet spot for viewing.
Sure, I would have rather had something nicer and lighter like a Vaio Z, Toshiba R600 or Lenovo X301, but the street prices on those are at least $500 more than what I paid. -
they are back in stock at buy.com.
-
So the bad viewing angles and narrow sweet spot common to most Samsung displays are still around... This is a deal breaker for me.
-
On a table or location where you can tilt the screen to the sweet spot, it seems a fair trade for the great brightness the display can pump out.
I can see this being a deal breaker for a lot of people. I don't think it is for me, but I will have to decide in a week. -
