I have settled on a Thinkpad T400, but the 10% coupon code expires tomorrow (November 17). Should I buy now, or wait a few days to see if a better coupon code comes out?

I don't really think you'll be finding anything better than that 10% coupon. That's the best I've seen for the past month or two I've been paying attention. I ended up buying my T400 using the student discount (which ended up being less of a discount than the 10% one).

Thanks for the coupon. That is better than the 10% off one, but unfortunately, it doesn't work for education deals (whereas the 10% one does). It still ends up being a few bucks better.

My thinking in waiting is that we are in the middle of a economic crisis and dealers will have to start thinking about Christmas soon. So better deals might be available soon. Of course, computer prices always drop, and I can't wait much more than a week.

I got screwed. I had configured the laptop, applied the coupon code, but then decided to check one last thing on the forums. So I then created a new cart, tried to apply the coupon, and it wouldn't take. I'm guessing this is because I tried to apply it again a few mins after midnight eastern time. So... I'll just wait for another one to come out I guess.

How about now with the 20% off coupon?

I want one for around December 20th for Christmas trips. Should I wait or jump on one now?

That would be up to you. Do you want it now or later? You will probably receive your ThinkPad around two weeks after you order it. I believe 20% off is the best discount circulating around. If it were me, I would buy it immediately. I missed the 10% discount and had to settle for the 5% student discount.
