While it looks like a good deal, this thing looks kind of cheap and flimsy. Anyone have any experience with these?

Also, shipping costs $7 for me, and if I select to get it in store, that is still 1-2 gallons of gas.

I am currently using this exact cooler with my XPS M1710 (I got it for my fiancee for christmas, but she wasn't using it). I paid $6 for it at the time, and I think it is well worth the money. It does feel a little cheap, but it seems to be plenty sturdy enough holding my 8.5lb laptop. The fan is in a pretty bad spot for a large laptop though. The swivel base is nice for my needs, because I use an external monitor and occassionally use my laptop as a 2nd monitor.

The fan doesn't do a thing for cooling, but I have the laptop cooler set at around a 30 degree angle, and it has dropped my max gaming temps by about 4C (91C to 87C). Idle temps are also a bit lower.

If it can be sturdy under my heavier than normal laptop, I think it will work just fine for the majority of users.

Note: Cell phone pics, but you get the idea ;)
