    I think so unfortunately; the higher-end models have the "LCD 15.4" WXGA (XBRITE-HiColor™)". I believe that screen is only available with the dedicated graphics card.

    I don't know, I had an XBrite Eco screen on my last VAIO, and it was very good. It'll be more power efficient than the dual lamp one, but less bright as well.

    The Eco screen is still far better than the junk you find on budget laptops.
