This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    US/Canada/UK only.

    Ebay Note: Besides new items, Square Trade works on most refurbished and some used products, but the price of the warranty goes up (more with used) due to higher risk of failure.

    *No deductible unless you opt for an accidental warranty, which is not available in Canada (US-only I believe). You pay nothing with a standard warranty and ST provides a pre-paid return label. If they cannot fix your item in 5 business days, you get a cheque for the value amount of your item. Warranty is fully transferable for free.

    Repair Facility:
    I asked a rep where their repair facility was located and she mentioned that if it's too far from your current location, you can drop it off at a local repair shop and ST will cover 'up to the ebay listings value' in repair costs. I love this, saves so much potential shipping time.

    Chrome & Canadians:
    There appears to be an issue with Chrome on the ST site, where it thinks you're from the UK (UK version of Chrome I assume?), therefore providing a checkout balance in British Pounds.

    Use a different browser to correct this.

    they have some nice deals... o_O I could get a warranty for my 4K dslr for just $380. sounds like a good deal.
