Is there a Steelseries headset worth buying at the moment (with 30% off)?
Trying to find one with good value and this might be my ticket to Steelseries.

There are a couple of good Steelseries headsets. The higher cost USB variants are pretty well received. They just came out with like 2 new models that I am not too familiar with though. I think they should have just stuck with what they had now its getting confusing :/

I had a friend with a regular V2 and they were actually really good. The biggest plus I had was that they are very comfortable. They make my logitech G930's feel like a football helmet.

Will it cover my entire ear (average size)?
The one I bought before were pressed on my ears making it stingy after 2-3 hours of gaming.

For me they covered my entire ear. If you have ever been nicknamed "dumbo" in the past or have larger ears... then you will be out of luck. The ear cups are not overly large.

Get a Logitech headset if you have big ears/head like me (8.5" hats). I use the 777 model and it's a perfect fit for gaming. ;)

I had to return my SteelSeries headset last year b/c the cups were tiny.

I can think of at least 2 more significant situations where this theory holds.

I owned the Siberia V2s. They are a good headset. Very light, comfortable and good sound, and they have a nice retractable mic. Don't get the USB version though. The USB soundcard they come with is useless, so get the cheaper analog version. (The USB card fails compared to the similar logitech G35).
