If I didn't have a docking station already, I'd jump on this.... $20 is a ridiculously good deal.

I just bought a latitude E6500 and am in need of a space-saving dock or port replicator so that I can continue to use my keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, and printer that were connected to the desktop that this new laptop is replacing. Can you guys answer a couple questions about this deal?

    1) Is buy.com legit? Haven't really hearch much about it (always a bit skeptical when I see one store with such a huge discount while the big boys (staples, office depot, etc) are at retail price still.

    2) Does this dock come with an AC adapter to power it or do I have to buy that separately? Or would I have to use my laptop AC adapter every time I wanted to use the dock?

The other thing I saw is that the reviews on Amazon and Newegg don't seem to be very positive....trying to decide whether it's worth the $20 for a questionable product. The price makes it appear to be a GREAT deal, but if the product doesn't work well...thoughts? I'd be using it to connect my brand new E6500 with my 4:3 monitor (1074x760), USB mouse, Parallel port printer, and speakers (not USB either). Think I'd run into problems?

It has no video output, so you couldn't use it to connect a monitor.

Thank you for posting that very useful information. Jezz, no monitor? That kills the deal for me right there. Not too useful then... :(

Thanks to the group for posting the deal AND for letting us know that it doesn't accept monitor hook up. That kills it for me too.

They get expensive when you add video. :p And from some reviews I remember reading awhile back video through USB doesn't work all that well. (of course that was awhile ago, it could have changed since then) I think if your computer has option for a true dock you'd be best off going that way. USB docks are pretty much just USB hubs with a few other port types.

The one Cin posted is the ACP45US which does not include video output, BUT... it's still an incredible deal :D
