    exempt from sales tax
    Aug 1-3
States: AL, GA, LA, MO, NC, NM, SC, TN
    See State websites for details.

NC - # Computers that cost less than $3500 each
    # Computer accessories such as printers, printer ink, CD-Rs, etc., that cost less than $250 per item

Not all states have computers included or if they do they are not all the same amount.

HP & Lenovo remove the tax on their checkout for me here in NC. Still shows up on Dell's.

No taxes can be a nice addition to some of these deals.

The Texas Tax free holiday is only for clothing and backpacks. Sorry. I live in Texas too, and while it's great for getting back to school clothes, it won't help me much in the way of buying my new laptop for college.
