I know it's been mentioned in a few threads, but I thought I'd make a separate thread so people can know. ^_^

Staples Canada has officially added the new dv5t with a 9600M GT dedicated GPU to their site and catalog(we've had them for nearly 2 weeks, but they finally decided to update lol :p ).

Anyways, the going price is currently 1150$ which is pretty comparable to what the official US HP site asks for the same specs so I think it's a good alternative for people in Canada who want a decently powerful HP dv5. ;)

    Anyways here's the link:

For the link, it asks for a postal code. What should I/we enter to see it?

Ah yeah sorry for that, umm well you can enter J6K 4S5, that's the code near my place so it should work.

    Thanks.

Other than the lowly 1280x800 screen, it's a solid machine. Good find. :)

Well most laptops in Canada come with low resolutions anyways.

We're still behind in the notebook department, but I tried configuring the same thing on HP's site(even with the 1200x800 screen) and it came roughly to a similar price(think a bit higher too and I forgot to add the infinity screen now that I think about it >_<) so that's actually a first for us(i.e where notebook technology isn't outrageously overpriced here compared to the US lol :p).

Also, for those Canadians, I'm tipped off that we'll have a sale soon so prices should drop in the 800-900$ range so that's an even better grab ^_^
