oh okay cool! i wanna get a sony all-in-one for my gf :]
-
This seems like it will be impossible to get the Sony VAIO TT198U/B or the 64GB USB Flash Drive...
Though after seeing what the Sony VAIO TT198U/B is I would just try to sell it to make a nice profit lol.
I do really want the 64GB USB Flash Drive though. -

I wouldn't mind carrying around a pink netbook for that price.

Oooo, can you see Russia from your house? (Like Tina Fey can?!?)
-
Aww you should be able to get what you want!
Cin -
I don't get this Webcast Sale thing: so starting at 12:00 PM, they will announce a specific item for sale at a specific hours and ONLY at that time you can purchase?
If that's true, then that means I have to be keep watching for 12 hours straight? -
Yeah I am confused as well. Will I have to pull an allnighter?
-
Come on Sony, nobody will buy these for full price in this economy, instead of letting them gather dust, gimme one for $1000! -
-
But seriously... I am even hesitant putting my cell number for the SMS automated message because I am afraid they will not stop SMS-spamming me long after the deal is done.. -
-
I'd say do BOTH. Website will be hammered, but phone line will be jammed too!
I have an idea about the SMS: tomorrow, buy a pay-per-use disposable SIM card, load it with like $30 (for text messages) and use the number from that SIM card for the PinkFriday.org auto notification. Done! -
Guys....I would hope by early tomorrow morning, we may have further info on it all
The word *hope* emphasized!
If I cant get exactly what I want, I am still ordering something, because of the Cause for Pink Friday!

-
Or, can't you *opt out* at the end, when its all said and done????

Here see this linky provided on the site, on *canceling alerts*
http://www.4info.net/support/faq.jsp#deletealert
How do I stop receiving alerts?
To stop your alerts, you can do one of the following things:
- If you want to stop an alert you just received from your phone, send a text message to 44636 (or any other 4INFO shortcode*) with the word stop.
- If you want to stop all alerts from your phone, send a text message to 44636 (or any other 4INFO shortcode*) with the words stop all.
- If you want to stop an alert on the web, log on to your account at 4INFO.net and delete the alert you wish to stop by clicking on "delete" next to that alert.
- If you want to stop all alerts on the web, log on to your account at 4INFO.net and delete the alerts associated with your phone number by clicking on "delete all".

Thank by the way -

Has anyone had any luck ordering anything via the webcasts???
I have had a constant *all circuits are busy*, and can never get thru..and things are selling out within minutes...I understand a ton of peeps are trying to order.
It's a great cause, but to me things seem to be a bit *harried* and *disorganized*
I think I may give up on this one
Cin -
the SMS service is really delayed too i took it off. -
HOw do you order again? I went to Pinkfriday.org, CompUsa, and I don't see anyway to order..
-
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/comptv
It's all being sold via this webcast...and the 800# on the screen..
Problem is...YOU can never get thru...and it's a bit disorganized.
They present the product for sale..you call and attempt to get thru to purchase and run into *all circuits are busy*...and the products are selling out within minutes.
I gave up...this sale was giving me a serious headache.
Cin -
I think I will just donate to Susan B. Comen...and find my Netbook elsewhere.
Cin -
My whole browser just froze up at noon, I have had no luck even getting the webcast to display anything...
-
wow I actually was able to get through after being put on hold for a couple minutes and got myself a set of 100 dvd+r for 9.99 with 1.99 shipping :3
just needed to give my last name and zip and they pulled up my tigerdirect info
and gave my cc number and they gave me and order number, hope its all
legit -
Congrats! you hope it's all legit??? ....If someone hijacked TigerDirect's webcast and posted false 800 #s...can you imagine? Nevermind, I don't even want to think about it! Order away...if you are one of the lucky ones who gets through!
-
That's a sweet deal you got yourself!
Cin -
seriously... I was thinking of getting that Core i7 920 for $150.... but .... its like... waste of time....
