Tigerdirect, CompUSA, and CircuitCity doing Pink Friday again 11/27!!

Pink Friday is an annual event, founded by one of the of the nation’s leading retailer group of consumer electronics and technology products, that turns Black Friday to “Pink Friday” in an effort to make the busiest shopping day of the holiday season the most charitable day as well.

The third annual Pink Friday fundraiser drive starts on the day traditionally known as Black Friday, November 27th, and runs through the end of the year. TigerDirect, Circuit City and CompUSA expect to donate more than $100,000 from total sales and donations in a cooperative effort for Susan G. Komen for the Cure fight against breast cancer.

TigerDirect.com, CircuitCity.com and CompUSA always offer amazing deals on electronics, and Pink Friday will be no exception. The retailers will donate a minimum of $100,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and customers will have the opportunity to add $1, $5, $10 or $20 to their purchase as a donation in their name. “Pink Friday is all about giving back to the community,” said Gilbert Fiorentino, Chief Executive of Systemax Inc. Technology Products business, which includes CompUSA, CircuitCity and TigerDirect. “Between our donation and the opportunity for our customers to help assist us in this cause, we hope to raise even more money for Susan G. Komen than last year.”

While retailers are scrambling to ensure great sales on the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally known as “Black Friday,” Systemax will be attempting to raise additional awareness and raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and their goal to end breast cancer forever through the third annual Pink Friday® event.

Pink Friday (http://www.pinkfriday.org) will be highlighted with a day-long (12 hour) webcast from Noon – Midnight (EST) featuring breast cancer survivor interviews, informational videos and the sale of hundreds of products at 50 percent off, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to Komen. The products go “live” at different times during the Webcast and are sold to the first people who call in.
