I was going to post it just now .

Too bad its not for the R25 , I'd cancel my now 3 weeks old order at Amazon .

There are some nice finds if you upgrade the HD and memory yourself (450$ for 2GB ? ) , don't mind a mid to low range gpu as well as a soon to be replaced "old" core duo .

Even with the sale, those notebooks still feel overpriced.

It's like buying a barebones notebook with a GF go 7600 for $1200us.
When I know you can get one for ALOT less.

(for example) I've even seen them for about $500us

Actually, I've seen these exact same Toshiba notebooks at Walmart. If you wait until october 31 you can pick up http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet.to?poid=327979&coid=-30599&seg=HHO&tab=xsell
    this notebook for under $400 with 512Mb, 60GB, and a Celeron M.

Atleast ya can here in California

Hmm...I just checked Toshibadirect and they deals doesn't look that enticing compared to Lenovo and especially Dell's offer.
