Considering that the Toshiba Direct website has an identical configuration (L305-S5883) for $799, it's definitely a sweet deal. I've been planning to buy my nephew a laptop for his birthday coming up in about six weeks. I'm seriously thinking about snagging one of these.

Before I ran across this Toshiba, I was thinking about the HP/Compaq CQ50Z which would be $598.99 but with a 1.9GHz AMD processor. Scrap that idea if can find one of these locally.....it appears that they're out of stock online at CC.com.

Tough call to make between the this Toshiba and a Dell Inspiron 1525 with similar specifications.

I've managed to get an Inspiron 1525 with the T5750 processor, 3GB RAM, 250GB Hard Drive, DVD RW, Intel Wireless-N and webcam for $634. Lose the webcam and it's only $609.....hmmm.....

Here's the link to the deal I used- it starts at $549 with the T2390 processor-

You can't even get one from the Dell Outlet with those specs for that price!
