    Turion64 MT Notebook for $599!!!

    Fry's has this notebook on special this weekend if you want a notebook with a great processor but don't have alot of money to spend. It is also 64bits so you won't have to replace the laptop next year if you want to upgrade to the Microsoft Vista64 operating system.

    The brand is a generic Fry's brand so you may not get the style or build of an HP or Sony, but for a price that's half the price of other laptops, you can't beat it.

    Also, I would recommend getting an extra 512-1gb of ram and buying and swapping out the 40gbdrive with a larger 5400 or 7200 speed drive to really turn this budget laptop into a screamer.
