We all know it can be devastating to lose a phone.

Which is why you should keep a backup phone :).

Don't backup phones cost a lot of money since you pay retail, you ask?

My answer, no, of course not. This is where you are wrong my friend.

If you have AT&T wireless service, and you either want a new phone, or a backup phone during your contract period, I have good news. You can get a bargain on a really nice phone and not have to renew/buy a new contract.

    How you ask?

The answer is simple, buy a pre-paid refurbished "GoPhone" and use your existing contract sim card in the GoPhone. This works, and *to the best of my knowlede* should be perfectly legal, since you are buying a phone from AT&T and using an AT&T sim card, I see no problems.

There is no contract, and no commitment. Heck, you don't even have to buy the $25 "air time" card. All you do is purchase the phone. :)
Heres the entire selection of cheap pre-paid refurbs.

The phones range from $9.99 to $99.99, some are out of stock.
