Just received my Costco circular in the mail.

They will be offering, between 5/11 and 5/31, the Western Digital 500GB MyPassport Elite for $99.99.

The deal includes a case as well as a 5 year warranty, along with the backup, sync and encryption software WD packages with the MyPassport Elite line.

Available both in the warehouse and on Costco.com

There is a limit of 3 per customer.

On a related note, Costco seems to have some pretty good computer deals in this circular, ie. an HP 14.1 inch with Intel Centrino, 4GB DDR2 memory, 500GB hard drive with N-wireless and 2 year manufacturers warranty.

    :)

If you belong to Costco, check out their 5/11-5/31 circular...coming to a mailbox near you.

You're right, Cin. I will do that.

The problem right now is that the deal isn't showing up anywhere online. The sales circular, however, came yesterday.

I KNOW I don't need another portable hard drive, but this deal is worth taking advantage of and just keeping it in the closet for the future, though I have about 10 500GBs in my closet. Never know when you will need more storage!

    I know...I'm nuts. :D

Ah, yes, but 2 months down the road, and the regular price would be $99 ;)

Nice find though. I'm thinking I need a large 3.5" drive though, since I already have a small portable 2.5" one.

So true. Prices on portables seem to be falling faster than a horny guy's standards at last call. :D
