    be cautious these 2.5" things die quick i had one die in 5 months and i had alot of music and family pics that i lost. no warning just died read errors.
    PS i was very gentle with it. get a 3.5".

    Just to add, I believe 2.5" drives typically have a higher shock resistance than 3.5" drives.

    2.5" drives are maxed at 500gb right now I think so thats an easy way to know its 3.5" but buy.com I would be weary about. They screwed me out of my parents x-mas gift by selling me something they did not have in stock and then not telling me about it till 3 weeks later when it was too late.

    I only had one bad purchase with buy.com, and that was an MP3 player arrived damaged, and so I sent it back..and they promptly refunded me.

    All my other purchases have gone well, since...sorry you went thru that. :(
