    I bought 2 of these puppies to put into my laptop. I don't know if this is the cheapest you could find the drive, but it's definitely not bad. It's OEM so you only get the drive - which is the only thing you need anyway.

    I remember in Nov 08, I wanted to get two 500GB drives but at the time, they were $169.99 each!!! I got two of these units for less than $150.

    maaaaaaaaad cheap! :D :D :D

    anyway, i hope whoever needs storage picks these up.

    This is not bad but I would wait for the 7200 RPM hitachi to go on sale again.

    oh crap! i just ordered mine the day before yesterday and they changed the prices!

    they're $89.99 at both amazon and tigerdirect now.... CRAP!

    7200rpm drives would be great if someone wanted really really high performance drives and didnt mind the higher temps they generate in laptop chasis.

    for me, i dont really need the high performance as much as i need the storage space.
