thats still overpriced for an outdated technology notebook.

One should look towards the better dual videocard notebooks:
    - Arima W840 DI (aka. OCZ Whitebook, AW m17, etc...) .... new 17" single/dual ATI 3870 and dual HDD
    - .Toshiba X305 .... 17" with SLI 9800M GTS .... processor could be better
    - Clevo D901C (aka. Sager NP9262) .... remains to be king of notebooks... 17" with single/dual 9800M GTS/GT/GTX, uses desktop quad-core CPUs, three internal HDD, and the best notebook cooling design to date.

it still performs well, but for the price, you can do much better going with the Arima or the Clevo.

Well... a barebones with Q6600 and 9800M GTX would still cost me less than 2500. Who said anything about HDD, or RAM? :p

Didn't you get a really good deal on the M1730 though, zfactor?

Doesn't seem like a bad deal with the two 320s and Blue ray with dual 8800s. For those of you interested, here ya goes. :D

I guess you havent been around this forum long enough.... you'll get used to it. :D

I will admit that around 2K this 8800M SLI notebook is a good deal, but it has to go up against more up-to-date rigs for the same prices:
    - .Toshiba X305 ...... 17" Montevina with 9800M GTS SLI
    - Arima W840 DI (aka. .Alienware M17, OCZ Whitebook, etc..) ..... 17" Montevina with dual ATI 3870

cant lose with going with any of those 3 systems... but the Arima seems to have the edge since it fully support mobile quad-cores.
